Take-Nothing Judgment for Real Estate Client Accused of Fraud

Ware Jackson partners Don Jackson and Avery Sheppard were hired less than 90 days before trial in a fraud case in Dallas County. The plaintiff asserted claims for fraudulent inducement, fraud by nondisclosure, and statutory fraud concerning the sale of a residential investment property. Alleged economic damages totaled over $1.5 million dollars, and the plaintiff sought punitive damages on top of that. After a four-day bench trial, Don and Avery, along with appellate specialist Michelle Blair, secured a take-nothing judgment for their client.
