In those roles, Kiara spearheaded events including, “Getting on Track for Success” and “Back to the Basics.” Outside HYLA, Kiara has shown her commitment to the community by serving on the Houston Independent Police Oversight Board. Kiara supports HYLA’s mission of community leadership and meaningful service, and will continue to bring government, non-profit, and first-generation attorneys into the HYLA family.

Avery Sheppard joined the firm after graduating from law school in 2013. Avery has successfully represented plaintiffs and defendants in a variety of high-stakes litigation, including products liability, personal injury, construction, and oil and gas. In addition, he is a Super Lawyers Rising Star.
